Art Asylum Acquires Star Trek Toy License |

Art
Asylum had been awarded the master toy license on Paramount's franchise- Star Trek. Toys based on UPN's Enterprise will lead the launch in 2002, the line consist of six, 7" scale action figures, two 12" space ships, and two (role play) weapons. The first wave of figures will consist of: *Captain Jonathan Archer *Sub-Commander T'Pol *Ensign Travis Mayweather *Lieutenant Malcolm Reed *Silik *Klaang |

While "Enterprise" will lead
the launch in 2002, a toy line based on the upcoming tenth motion picture "Star Trek: Nemesis" is being worked on. This series so far is scheduled to consist of six figures and one space craft. Release date on this series depends on the release of the movie, which was just recently green lighted for production. And of course "Enterprise" and "Nemesis" are just the tip of the ice burg- the license includes the rights for the entire Star Trek property. Stay glued for future updates! |

Meeting with the
Engeneer: At a recent Star Trek Convention in Orlando Florida i had the honor of meeting James Doohan personally. And i must say that he is an extremely nice and very likable man. Way To Go Scotty!

Doohan turns 80 March 3. The pregnancy was an accident, the couple is
thrilled. So i guess he's still beaming it up. Doohan and his wife, who live near Seattle already have two sons, aged 21 and 23. The Canadian-born actor recently signed a deal to serve as a spokesman for an online bill-paying service and has a lead role in a film, The Duke, scheduled for this summer. He recently appeared on pay-per-view in "Bug Buster." |
